“Thank you for choosing Springfield”

We are always pleased to extend this greeting to businesses basing their operations here, visitors frequenting our attractions and hotels, and new residents attracted by our quality of life. We’re equally pleased that you have chosen to visit, live or work in Greater Springfield.

These are exciting times for Springfield as we are in the midst of an unprecedented revival. With a technology park sweeping the outskirts of town, recreational whitewater areas downtown, a planned family ice arena and two new downtown hospitals (one completed, one opening in 2012), Springfield is certainly moving forward.

Springfield is blessed with many of the same amenities as cities five times our size. We enjoy a symphony orchestra, performing arts center, a renowned university and a museum of art. We are one of only two communities in America that can boast a Frank Lloyd Wright designed home and a Donald Ross designed golf course. Our natural resources, recreation areas and bike trails are among the finest in the region and there’s more in the works. Where else can you find a state park and 1,200 acre lake just 10 minutes from downtown?

While this list of assets is impressive, it pales in comparison to our prime attraction—our people. We are a community of visionary thinkers, dedicated volunteers and community leaders committed to elevating Springfield to its rightful place among America’s great hometowns. The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, along with our hundreds of business partners, is proud to play a significant part in this renaissance. We are determined to make Springfield “Ohio’s most livable city.”
