The Springfield dining scene is as appetizing as the city’s rich industrial and cultural heritage.

Springfield cuisine features some of the best regional and local ingredients. Anything from fresh, locally-grown corn to grade-A grass-fed beef, you’ll find it on the menu in Springfield. Many of the area’s fine restaurants incorporate the best of the nation’s fish, poultry and pork, as well as fresh produce and seasonal items from local growers

Springfield is famous for many things, including locally-known delicacies and culinary “secrets.” Anyone who visits Springfield has to try one of the plump, sugary donuts at Schuler’s Bakery for a true indulgence. You can’t miss Mike and Rosy’s Deli to taste one of the best Reubens outside of New York City. But one of the true hometown favorites has to be Young’s Jersey Dairy, a working dairy farm featuring an ice-cream shop which serves up some of the best hand-dipped cones, milkshakes, and sundaes anywhere. Young’s was even a recent feature on The Food Network’s “Best of” series.
