What is Your Brand Promise?
It is hard to believe we will celebrate Valentine’s Day next week. Over the past several months, The Chamber has been working hard on a new brand launch that will take place at an undisclosed location during our virtual annual meeting in March. So, what is significant about a BRAND?
Branding is a marketing practice in which a company creates a name, symbol or design that is easily identifiable as belonging to the company. This helps to identify a product and distinguish it from other products and services. Branding is important because not only is it what makes a memorable impression on consumers, but it allows your customers and clients to know what to expect from your company or organization. It is a way of distinguishing yourself from the competitors and clarifying what it is you offer that makes you the better choice. Your brand is built to be a true representation of who you are as a business or organization, and how you wish to be perceived.
A brand ultimately builds our identity which over time determines our success or failure in the marketplace. A brand also:
- Promotes Recognition
- Sets You Apart from Your Competition
- Tells People about Your Business DNA
- Provides Motivation and Direction for Your Staff
- Generates Referrals
- Helps Customers Know what to Expect
- Represents You and Your Promise to Your Customers
- Provides Your Business Value
The businesses and organizations I have worked with over the years that have implemented an effective brand position in our marketplace have all been very successful over the long haul.
We are excited about The Chamber celebrating 100 years, and we look forward to what the next leg of the journey holds for us all in Greater Springfield. Our new brand will help catalyze all the hard work that has been done and is yet to be accomplished for the betterment of all our businesses and organizations located in this little corner of the world.
Remember, a brand is only as good as the promise it keeps. Our new brand will promise to help build a vibrant town and thriving business community through a strong partnership. (THAT IS A HINT…)
