Clark County Jobs Website to Strengthen Business Recruitment and Retention
September 12, 2025
A redesigned Clark County Jobs website that directly supports local employers by improving how job seekers connect with opportunities in Springfield and Clark County has launched. Unlike many communities that rely on static listings or outdated landing pages, Clark County businesses now have a dedicated recruitment tool designed to highlight local careers and demonstrate the advantages of working close to home.
“Employers across Clark County have told us they need a stronger platform to attract and retain talent,” said Horton Hobbs IV, Vice President of Economic Development at the Greater Springfield Partnership. “This website is built with that goal in mind. It gives our businesses greater visibility and makes it easier for job seekers to see that opportunities here are competitive with those in larger metro areas.”
A More Powerful Recruitment Tool for Businesses
The new site replaces the older model that relied on an iframe from the statewide system. By securing a direct feed and API from Ohio Means Jobs, the platform now offers:
- Automatic filtering to show only Clark County jobs
- Clear job details, including title, company, salary, and industry code
- Profile creation, saved searches, and job-tracking functionality
This system ensures that Springfield-area businesses have their job postings displayed in a streamlined, user-friendly way, helping them reach candidates who want to stay local.
Helping Businesses Compete for Local Talent
The website introduces an interactive “cost of leaving” feature that demonstrates the financial and personal tradeoffs of commuting outside Clark County. For employers, this feature supports retention by reinforcing the advantages of working close to home, from reduced transportation costs to improved quality of life.
“The Clark County Jobs site does more than post listings,” said Chris Schutte, Vice President of Destination Marketing and Communications of the Greater Springfield Partnership. “It educates the workforce on the real value of staying local while giving our members a competitive edge in attracting and keeping the talent they need.”
Forward-Looking Workforce Development Strategy
Future enhancements will include YouScience for aptitude-based filtering that connects job postings with job seekers’ strengths, creating stronger matches between local employers and applicants. This forward-thinking approach reflects the Partnership’s commitment to aligning workforce development with business needs.
By consolidating tools that other communities do not provide, the Clark County Jobs platform positions Greater Springfield as a leader in workforce innovation and employer support.
A Direct Benefit for Partnership Members
For members of the Greater Springfield Partnership, the new jobs site represents a measurable investment in the success of local businesses. Employers gain:
- Expanded visibility for their job opportunities
- A dedicated hub that keeps Springfield careers in front of job seekers
- Tools that make recruitment and retention more effective
The website reinforces the Partnership’s role as a trusted ally for businesses seeking to grow and succeed in Springfield and Clark County.
